Czech banking has a quiet superpower: QR platba, a standardised QR format (SPD) that every major banking app can scan. Account number, amount, variable symbol and message — filled in perfectly, every time.
Typos are the enemy
Manually typed transfers fail in boring ways: a wrong variable symbol, a missing digit, an amount rounded “to be nice”. Each mistake means a payment you can't match to an order. With a scanned QR code the payer literally cannot make those mistakes.
The missing half: matching
The QR gets money sent; the real work is knowing it arrived. QPayTok polls your bank's API (FIO today) and matches incoming payments by variable symbol against pending tokens — while the payer is still looking at the page. The status flips to paid, actions fire, webhooks notify your systems.
Fees, visible up front
If you pass a fee to the payer, the charged amount in the QR already includes it, and the matcher expects exactly that number. No surprises on either side.
Card rails are great; but for invoices, deposits and person-to-person collections in CZ, a QR transfer with automatic matching is often the cheapest and most trusted path.
